The NTSE or National Talent Search Examination is a national-level examination conducted by the National Council for Research and Training in Education (NCERT) to award scholarships to successful 10th graders. The NTSE is only held for level 10 students and the examinations are conducted in two different phases – Phases I and II.

The first phase test is a state level test and is conducted by all the provinces of India and the UT. On the other hand, phase II of the NTSE is administered to those students who remove the first phase. As mentioned earlier, only those who qualify for the NTSE phase 1 will be eligible to write the Phase II examination. This is the main method. Meanwhile, the purpose of the NTSE program is to award bursaries to potential candidates who wish to pursue higher education in the field of Science or Social Sciences. With these bursaries, students will be able to continue their education in their desired broadcasting. The NTSE bursary will be awarded on the basis of full student performance in both assessment phases.
