NTSE COMPLETE STUDY MATERIALS

NTSE is a national level test conducted by the National Council for Educational Research and Training to award bursaries to talented students in the 10th grade. The NTSE is only held for level 10 students and the examinations are conducted in two different phases – Phases I and II.

NCERT defined the age limit for students to appear in the exam. Candidates must be under 18 years of age (from July 1, 2020).

Due to the status of COVID in the country, no specific date has been given for registration and exam date but students pursuing their studies in Indian schools are eligible to appear for the first stage exam. Eligibility criteria are as follows:

The candidate must be a Class X student at any public / private school in India.

There is no accommodation limit. Candidates may come from any State / Local Area of ​​India.

Students studying for open or grade reading are also eligible to write NTSE 2022, as long as they are under the age of 18, are not employed and are appearing for the first time on the Class X board exams.

Only students who have passed Phase 1 (regional level examination) who are eligible to appear for the Phase 2 examinations will have the registration number, place, date and date of the examination details to be transferred to NCERT-selected students through its official website.

Indian students studying abroad in the X-Class or equivalent are eligible for the Class 2 (second level examination) and are automatically exempted from the first examination.

The candidate must have 60% marks in last year’s examination.

The candidate must appear for a medical examination in an Indian institution.

Candidates must request from the Head of Institution where he / she is studying, as well as a certified copy of the Class IX mark sheet. The application must reach the Head, Department of Education Research, NCERT, New Delhi by 31 December of the year in question.

The nominee will receive a bursary only if he or she decides to pursue a course in India.
